Ghana National Petroleum Corporation Scholarship

About GNPC Scholarship.

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) is offering limited Undergraduate scholarship, through the GNPC Foundation, to prospective Ghanaian students for the 2022/2023 academic year. The scholarship is for degree courses and are tenable at accredited public tertiary Institutions in Ghana. The scholarship covers Tuition, Living Expenses, Book Allowance and Dissertation/Project Allowance.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
Applicant must:
1. Be Ghanaian,
2. Have obtained admission to undertake an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree Program at a local public tertiary Institution at the time of application.

 

PREFERENCE

Preference would be given to:
1. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
2. Special Education
3. Agricultural Science
4. Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET)

APPLICATION PROCESS

1) New (fresh) applicants should click on online application to begin a new application (i.e. access the application form page)
2) Applicants should provide necessary details with correct and active e-mail.
3) Pin will be generated and sent to your e-mail. Do note that pin may be sent to spam/junk e-mail in some cases
4) Applicants should reassess the application page with the correct telephone number and pin provided.

Education Fondazione Scholarship

Education Fondazione in Collaboration with KNUST is offering scholarships to brilliant but needy students at the University in order to help them pursue their education successfully.

Eligibility:

The Scholarship is opened to only First (1st) year students pursuing a full-time programme in the University.

All applicants must be Ghanaian Regular students.

Applicants should not be a beneficiary of another Scholarship Scheme at the time of applying.​

Requirements:

All Prospective Applicants are to include the following documents;

  • Admission Letter

  • Acceptance Letter

  • WASSCE Certificate

  • High School Transcripts or All Terminal Reports

  • Recommendation Letters or Testimonial

  • Awards and Certificates (If Any)

  • All Applicants should provide proof of need.

 Mark Foundation Scholarship

 

Mark Foundation is a Scholarship scheme that offers one-year scholarship to female students in the KNUST School of Business to enable them pursue their University Education.

Eligibility:

The Scholarship is opened to all Ghanaian female students in their first year who have gained admission to the KNUST School of Business with an aggregate not more than 10.

Requirements:

All prospective applicants are to include a copy of the following documents in their applications:

  • Admission Letter

  • Acceptance Letter

  • WASSCE Certificate

  • Proof of need

  • Other awards or certificates (if any).

The Hulede Foundation Scholarship

The Hulede Foundation is a foundation offering One-year Scholarship to Brilliant but Needy Students from all discipline in KNUST to enable them pursue their University Education.

Eligibility:

The Scholarship is opened to all KNUST students who are Brilliant but Needy and are in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year pursuing full-time programme.

Requirements:

The minimum grade for prospective continuing applicants must be at least Second Class Upper. First year applicants should have a WASSCE result /aggregate of at least Fifteen (15).

All prospective applicants are to include the following documents in their applications:

  • Admission Letter

  • Acceptance Letter

  • WASSCE Certificate (first year students)

  • Recommendation letters (2) and other awards or certificates (if any)

  • Proof of need

  • High School Transcripts (First years)

  • Continuing student applicants should also add their complete University Academic Transcripts or result slip signed and stamped by Heads of Department (only), (including current - Second Semester results).

CONTINUING STUDENTS who are beneficiaries of other scholarships are not eligible to apply.

Educational Pathways International

Educational Pathways International is a foundation that offers a full-time Scholarship to Brilliant but Needy Students to enable them pursue their University Education in KNUST.

Eligibility:

The Scholarship is opened to all Ghanaian students in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, who are Brilliant but Needy Students of KNUST and are pursuing a full-time programme.

Requirements:

The minimum grade for prospective continuing student applicants must be at least strong Second Class Upper. First year applicants should have a WASSCE result /aggregate of at least Nine (9).

All prospective applicants are to include the following documents in their applications:

  • Admission Letter

  • Acceptance Letter

  • WASSCE Certificate

  • Proof of need

  • High School Transcripts or all Terminal report (first years).

  • Recommendation letters and other awards or certificates (if any).

  • Continuing student applicants should also add their complete University Academic Transcripts/Result Slip Signed and officially stamped by Exam Officer. (Including current Second Semester’s results).

CONTINUING STUDENTS who are beneficiaries of other scholarships are not eligible to apply.

MasterCard Foundation Scholarship

 

The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at KNUST provides academically talented yet economically disadvantaged young people in Ghana and Africa with access to quality and relevant university education. The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Ghana is offering MasterCard Foundation Scholarships for Ghanaian and African students 2022-2023. It embodies an array of mentoring and cultural transition services to ensure student academic success, community engagement and transition to employment opportunities which will further social and economic change for Africa.

The Mastercard Foundation seeks a world where everyone has the opportunity to learn and prosper. All people, no matter where their starting point in life, should have an equal chance to succeed. We believe that with access to education, financial services, and skills training, people can have that chance. Aim and Benefits of Mastercard Foundation/KNUST Undergraduate Scholarship The Scholarship includes;

1. Comprehensive financial support (full tuition, fully paid on-campus accommodation, learning materials, transportation and monthly stipend).
2. Regular group meetings with other scholars that focus on personal and professional development opportunities and activities tailored to build societal relationships and scholars’ capacity.

Requirements for Mastercard Foundation/KNUST Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification
For the 2021/2022 Academic year:
1. All Applicants must have a WASSCE or GBCE or ABCE or GCE O’Level and A’Level or their equivalent Results from an accredited/recognized institution and Certificate Ready and must meet KNUST’s Admission Requirements. NO AWAITING RESULTS candidate will be accepted. Applicant’s result must be at least a year old.
2. The Applicant must demonstrate that he/she has Critical Economic Needs.
3. The Applicant must have Proven Records of Leadership and Community Engagement(s).
4. Priority shall be given to;
5. Females
6. Displaced Persons (Certified Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, etc.)
7. Persons with Disability
8. The Applicant must be prepared to Go-Back and Give-Back to his or her Community.
9. The Applicant must not be enrolled in any tertiary institution. Interview date, Process and Venue for Mastercard Foundation/KNUST Undergraduate Scholarship
Only shortlisted applicants will be called for interviews which would be held at the MCFSP at KNUST Secretariat. Interviews will be done by an independent panel constituted by the Vice Chancellor of KNUST. Verification of All examination results and information provided, as well as community visits of Successful applicants, will be conducted before admission is approved.
